With many key players currently in Morocco on duty to defend their continental title as a part of the Banyana Banyana squad, only two matches were played this past weekend in the Hollywoodbets Super League, one each on Saturday, 28 June 2025, and Sunday, 29 June 2025.

Starting the weekend proceedings at the Tuks Stadium, University of Pretoria were held to a 1-all draw by the University of Cape Town in a tightly contested fixture on Saturday.

Aaliyah Jacobs opened the scoring for UCT in the 77th minute, but her effort was cancelled out seven minutes later when fifteen-year-old Zanile Khoza, the youngest player on the park, equalised for AmaTuks, the teams settling for a 1-all draw at the final whistle.

Tuks now sit ninth on the log with four wins, four draws, and six losses, while UCT – in their debut top-flight season – are 13th in the standings with three wins, three draws, and seven losses.

At the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday, First Touch FC Ladies and Richmond United played out another 1-1 draw in a battle of bottom-half teams.

Jeanet Fisher gave the Limpopo side an early lead in the 6th minute, but Richmond’s Sharone Oliphant found the equaliser in the 50th to earn a valuable away point, their third game on the road in a row while managing player fatigue and illness.

The point lifts First Touch to tenth, while Richmond remain fifteenth, just three points clear of Durban Ladies at the bottom of the table.
