Ramaphosa cautioned that South Africa would stand firm in the face of external pressure, as diplomatic tensions between Pretoria and Washington continue to escalate.

His comments come amid ongoing disagreements between South Africa and the US, with President Donald Trump repeating claims of a so-called “white genocide” in the country.

The ANC leader also issued a strong warning to South African organisations accused of spreading misinformation abroad.
AfriForum and Solidarity have been accused of attempting to influence the Trump administration against South Africa by raising allegations of discrimination against Afrikaner people. Some believe these efforts may have played a role in worsening relations between the two countries.
