An employee of an assisted living facility where a Maine attorney was killed on Valentine’s Day was charged with murder Wednesday.

Baltimore resident and assisted living facility employee Maurquise Emillo James, 22, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of lawyer Robert Fuller Jr. James is also suspected of shooting at a state trooper during a traffic stop in the city early Tuesday morning.

On Feb. 14, Fuller, an 87-year-old philanthropist and an attorney, was found in his apartment at the Cogir Potomac Senior Living Facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with a gunshot wound to the head, according to coverage by the Bangor Daily News.

Police released a video of a person wearing a disguise walking though the Cogir courtyard. The suspect is wearing a jacket that residents say James had worn on multiple occasions.

No motive for the crime was given. James is being held without bond.
