Enigma Records has unveiled Rasheed Koshegbe Abdulganiu, professionally known as Encore UG, as one of its signed Afrobeat artists
Encore UG joined the record label in 2025. A native of Isale Eko, Lagos State, he was raised in Ikorodu, where he developed his passion for music from an early age
He began making music at the age of 15, embarking on a journey aimed at inspiring, motivating and uplifting people through meaningful songs
The singer describes his musical style as Afrotrans, a fusion of Afrobeat with motivational, inspirational and uplifting messages designed to resonate with listeners and positively impact lives
According to the label, Encore UG remains committed to pursuing his musical career with passion, determination and authenticity
Beyond music, he has a keen interest in fashion and creativity, noting that he would have pursued a career in fashion design if he had not ventured into music
Through his songs, Encore UG seeks to encourage listeners to discover themselves, recognise their worth and embrace their purpose and limitless potential. His goal is to create music that connects with audiences across diverse cultures and backgrounds
His debut official single, “Dear Lord,” was released on July 10, 2025, marking the beginning of his professional music career
