Nigeria’s clean energy and mobility company names the leadership driving Africa’s sustainable future

Qoray Mobility & Energies Ltd (QORAY), a clean energy and sustainable mobility company operating across Nigeria, today formally introduced its founding Executive Leadership Team

Led by Founder and Chief Executive Officer Olabanjo Alimi, alongside Co-Founders Akinkunmi Akingbogun (Vice President, Mobility) and Ayo Falola (Vice President, Renewable Energy), the team has collectively driven the deployment of 2,150+ electric vehicles, over 7MWh of decentralised solar systems, and more than ₦20 billion in clean energy assets across Nigeria

“Our mission is to drive Africa’s transition to clean energy and sustainable mobility through community, innovation, and partnerships. QORAY exists to power progress sustainably and inclusively.”— Olabanjo Alimi, Founder & CEO

    THE QORAY STORY

QORAY was built by executives who spent years architecting Nigeria’s clean energy and mobility ecosystem from within the financial sector and chose to own the mission themselves. The founding team brings not just expertise, but conviction: that Africa’s clean energy transition must be led by Africans, built for African communities, and scaled through homegrown enterprise

That conviction is now on record. Backed by operating proof

    EXECUTIVE PROFILES

    Olabanjo Alimi

    Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Olabanjo Alimi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of QORAY Mobility & Energies Ltd, a company he built at the convergence of Nigeria’s clean energy, mobility, and financial sectors

Under his leadership, QORAY has achieved significant operational milestones: deploying over 2,150 electric vehicles, installing over 7MWh of decentralized solar systems, and mobilizing over ₦20 billion in clean energy and mobility capital. These initiatives have deepened energy access, improved air quality, fostered green innovation, and created thousands of green jobs across Nigeria

A seasoned energy executive, Alimi previously served as Divisional Head, Renewable Energy & Mobility at Sterling Bank, and as COO and Executive Director at Eterna PLC. His career also spans leadership roles at Enyo Retail & Supply and Oando Marketing (now NNPC Retail), where he managed portfolios exceeding USD 400 million

His career has been defined by initiatives and partnerships that advance sustainable mobility, broaden energy access, and build economic inclusion; the very principles he founded QORAY to accelerate at scale

    Akinkunmi Akingbogun

    Co-Founder & Vice President, Mobility

Akin Akingbogun is an accomplished engineer, business leader, and clean-mobility executive with over two decades of experience spanning engineering, energy, banking, and leadership development

He holds degrees in Civil Engineering, Water & Environmental Engineering, and Business Marketing, and has completed the Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School. He is a COREN-certified engineer and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers

Prior to co-founding QORAY, Akingbogun held leadership roles at OVH Energy and Sterling Bank, where he served as Group Head, Mobility & Projects, Renewable Energy, driving strategic mobility, infrastructure, and sustainable transport initiatives

At QORAY, he has been instrumental in advancing electric mobility adoption through strategic partnerships, product deployment, and ecosystem development. Under his leadership, QORAY’s flagship Electric Teak tricycle achieved a Guinness World Record by covering 347.11 kilometres in 12 hours, while electric tricycle deployment has expanded across Nigeria

A certified business leadership and performance coach, Akingbogun combines technical expertise, commercial acumen, and transformational leadership to drive innovation and growth in Nigeria’s mobility sector

“Our focus at QORAY is creating accessible mobility solutions that redefine how Africa moves — sustainably, efficiently, and affordably.”— Akinkunmi Akingbogun, Co-Founder & VP, Mobility

    Ayo Falola

Co-Founder & Vice President, Renewable Energy

Ayo Falola is a business development and sustainability leader with over 14 years of experience across banking, energy, logistics, and renewable sectors

At QORAY, he leads the Renewable Energy Division, driving energy financing, decentralised system deployment, and partnerships that expand access to clean power for communities and businesses across Africa

He is known for aligning financial performance with sustainability outcomes — crafting market-driven solutions that deliver both profitability and social impact. He has led the deployment of over 7MWh of distributed solar systems across Nigeria, with a strong focus on SMEs and underserved communities

“We’re proving that sustainability and profitability are not opposites; they’re partners in progress. QORAY is where innovation meets impact.”— Ayo Falola, Co-Founder & VP, Renewable Energy
