    MTN Next Afrobeats Star Season 2 Heads to Lagos for Final Auditions

    MTN Next Afrobeats Star Season 2 Heads to Lagos for Final Auditions

    Following
    auditions across Enugu, Benin and Abuja, MTN Next Afrobeats Star Season 2 heads
    to Lagos this weekend for the final opportunity for aspiring artistes to earn a
    place in the next stage of the music talent competition.

    The Lagos
    auditions will be held on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19,
    2026, at Ultima Studios, Lekki, bringing the nationwide audition tour to its
    final stop.

    The competition
    has already uncovered emerging talent across the cities visited so far. In
    Enugu, Adriel Umoh, Michael Tamaradoubra Eyetuaghanwo and Alexandra Iwuchukwu
    earned Golden Mics and secured places in the next round, while Unigwe Chinenye
    and brothers Emmanuel and Kingsley Diala also advanced after receiving three
    yeses from the judges.

    The Benin
    auditions produced another set of strong contenders, with Destiny Irabor and
    Onyenankeya Eloghosa earning Golden Mics, while Adedina Mary also advanced to
    the next round. The auditions also attracted aspiring artistes from outside Edo
    State, reflecting the reach of the competition beyond its host city.

    In Abuja,
    Delight Sunday, David Samson and Mary-Magdalene Ogar earned Golden Mics, while
    several other contestants advanced after receiving three yeses from the judges.
    The auditions added more emerging artistes to the pool of contenders
    progressing through the competition.

    Through Next
    Afrobeats Star, MTN Nigeria, in <a href="https://absafricatv.com/mtn-partners-with-uae-platform-on-african-data-center-expansion/” title=”MTN partners with UAE platform on African data center expansion”>partnership with Ultima Studios and ONErpm, is
    providing a platform for emerging artistes to showcase their talent, develop
    their craft and pursue opportunities in the music industry.

    With the Lagos
    auditions now on, aspiring artistes have one final opportunity to audition and
    compete for a place in the next stage of the competition.

    Registration for
    MTN Next Afrobeats Star Season 2 remains open until September 21, 2026, at a
    cost of ₦600. Interested participants can register by sending NAS to 13013.
