Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that global music icon Rihanna is one artiste he would love to collaborate with, describing the possibility of working together as an exciting musical opportunity.
Davido made the revelation during a live stream interview on Twitch, where he spoke about artistes he admires and the potential for future international collaborations.
According to the singer, a collaboration with Rihanna would produce great music, noting that he respects her artistry and global influence.
However, Davido acknowledged that such a partnership may not happen soon, as Rihanna has shifted much of her attention towards her highly successful Fenty Beauty and fashion businesses.
Rihanna, who remains one of the world’s most influential entertainers, has not released a full studio album since her 2016 project, “Anti,” as she continues to focus on expanding her business empire.
The two artistes have previously shown mutual appreciation, with Rihanna publicly praising Davido’s music. She once revealed that his hit song “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys was among her favourite tracks.
Davido, one of Africa’s biggest music exports, has continued to strengthen his global presence through collaborations with international artistes including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby and DaBaby.
A collaboration between Davido and Rihanna would bring together two globally recognised music stars with strong influence across different parts of the world.
