Dzolokpuita (V/R), July 21, GNA – Mrs Gloria Fenu-Kofitse, an aspirant for the First Vice Chairperson position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ho West Constituency, has congratulated the newly elected constituency executives and called for unity behind the <a href="https://absafricatv.com/industry-leaders-urge-africa-to-invest-in-ai-skills-education/” title=”Industry leaders urge Africa to Invest in AI skills, education”>leadership ahead of the Election 2028.

In a statement issued after the constituency executive elections held on Saturday, July 11, Mrs Fenu-Kofitse said although she had aspired to serve as First Vice Chairperson, she fully accepted the outcome of the polls and respected the mandate given by the delegates.

“In a democratic party, the voice of the delegates is the voice of the party, and I honour that choice wholeheartedly,” she said.

She expressed gratitude to the delegates, campaign team members, supporters, friends, and well-wishers for their confidence, prayers and unwavering support throughout the campaign, describing their encouragement as a

Mrs Fenu-Kofitse also thanked party members who advocated greater female participation in political leadership, saying she hoped her candidature would inspire more women to offer themselves for leadership positions within the NPP.

“Every journey has its season. This outcome is not the end of the journey; it is another step towards greater opportunities ahead,” she stated.

She congratulated all the newly elected constituency executives, particularly Mr Samuel Debrah, who won the First Vice Chairperson position with 701 votes against her 406 votes, and wished him a successful tenure in office.

Mrs Fenu-Kofitse described the election as another demonstration of the NPP’s democratic credentials, noting that delegates freely exercised their constitutional right to elect leaders they believed would advance the party’s objectives.

“The true winner today is the NPP. That decision deserves our respect and our collective support,” she added.

She appealed to party faithfuls to put the contest behind them, embrace reconciliation and work together in unity, stressing that the party’s shared vision and collective interest must take precedence over individual ambitions as preparations begin towards the 2028 general election.

Mrs Fenu-Kofitse previously served as a Polling Station Youth Organiser and Electoral Area Coordinator of the NPP.

She is also a former National Women Organiser of the Ghana Association of Assembly Members and a two-term Assembly Member for the Ho West District Assembly, where she chaired the Assembly’s Tourism Committee.
