The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has confirmed that all attractions under its management are now fully operational following comprehensive safety inspections.
The reopening follows a period of monitoring and assessment aimed at ensuring that infrastructure, access roads, and visitor areas meet safety standards. While most sites are easily accessible, travellers are advised to remain cautious, particularly when driving on gravel roads or travelling in remote areas.
According to the agency, teams are stationed across major attractions to assist visitors and provide up to date information where needed. Signage and safety measures remain in place at sites that were affected by flooding or water damage earlier in the season.
In addition to well known destinations, MTPA is encouraging travellers to explore attractions in the Nkangala and Gert Sibande districts. These areas offer quieter nature reserves, cultural experiences, and scenic routes that are often overlooked in favour of busier tourist corridors.
Visitors are urged to follow all safety instructions, respect road closures where they remain in effect, and stay informed about weather conditions before setting out. With the region now open and operational, Mpumalanga is once again positioned as a strong choice for road trips, family getaways, and outdoor adventures.
