The African National Congress (ANC) has confirmed that its National Executive Committee (NEC) member, Senzo Mchunu, will appear before the party’s Integrity Commission over allegations against him.
The announcement follows discussions at the National Working Committee (NWC) meeting, where Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula addressed issues concerning party members facing corruption allegations.

Allegations of Police Interference Surface

Mchunu has been implicated in allegations of interference in the police, a matter currently under investigation by the Madlanga Commission. While the details of his alleged involvement remain under scrutiny, the ANC insists that due process will be followed.
Mbalula confirmed that Mchunu’s appearance before the commission is certain but did not provide a specific date.

“Senzo and whoever implicated will appear before the Integrity Commission. The Integrity Commission does not announce its work, but I can assure you that he will appear before the Integrity Commission,” he said.
