With travellers flocking to the Mother City’s beaches, wine estates, and mountain trails, the demand for more seats has never been greater.
KLM
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has announced that it will increase its Cape Town services for the 2025/2026 season, which runs from 26 October 2025 to 28 March 2026. Travellers will now have 11 flights a week to choose from, making it easier than ever to connect between South Africa and Europe.
The airline’s classic overnight departure at 23:45 remains in place, perfectly timed for onward journeys through Amsterdam. But there’s something new on the horizon too: a fresh 08:00 morning flight on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays. That means four daytime departures a week for travellers who prefer to fly by daylight.
Norse Atlantic
Adding to the excitement, Norse Atlantic Airways is also expanding its Cape Town schedule. What began as three flights per week from London Gatwick has already grown to four, and will soon increase to six weekly flights. Even better news? The airline is extending its season beyond April — flights will now run through May 2026, before returning again in early October.
For visitors from Europe and beyond, these additional flights open the door to more flexible itineraries, shorter layovers, and better opportunities to explore Cape Town at its best. For South Africans planning adventures abroad, it’s another sign that international travel connections are stronger than ever.
