Fadiel Adams, leader of the National Coloured Congress, claims police intended to kidnap him during an early morning raid at his former home in Mitchells Plain.
Adams said officers, believed to be part of a political killings task team, arrived at the property on Saturday morning looking for him.

He alleged that the officers wore face masks, did not identify themselves, and parked their vehicles some distance away from the house, which he sold about two months ago.
Fadiel Adams Raid: Homeowner Opens Case After Incident
According to Adams, he was alerted to the raid by the current homeowner at around 6am.
He said he accompanied her to Lentegeur Police Station, where she opened cases of assault and intimidation.
Adams added that he only became aware on Sunday morning that a search warrant had been issued against him.
Claims Linked to Parliamentary Questions
Adams believes he may have been targeted following questions he raised during a recent parliamentary portfolio committee on police.
“I just have a few questions [inaudible] about the suspension of the national commissioner because he was criminally charged. I just want to know why General Khumalo is still allowed to act as the head of CI; he’s in the exact same position,” he said.

He further criticised the manner in which the raid was conducted.
“At one minute past 8:00 this morning, Mkhwanazi sent an email. He tries to recall. You can see it; it’s in your pack. He tries to recall the email.

@That’s when I see in his own handwriting that there is a warrant out for me. Now, understand, I’ve made it clear to this man weeks ago: if you have a warrant, don’t come with drama, man. Don’t send rifles into my house. Don’t come and traumatise and hit my kids.”
Authorities have not yet issued an official response to Adams’ claims.
It remains unclear what the warrant relates to or whether further action will be taken.
