    The public nominations window for the 2025 gsport Awards officially closed on 30 June, wrapping up an exciting month of nationwide submissions across 20 Awards categories.

    From athletes to administrators, coaches to content creators, South Africans showed up in numbers to shine a light on the phenomenal women driving the nation’s sporting success.

    Nominations Now Open for the 20th gsport Awards

    The Public Nominations campaign, which ran from 1–30 June, empowered both the public and athletes themselves to submit deserving candidates for recognition at the prestigious 20th edition of the GSPORT Awards.

    What Happens Next? With nominations closed, the next phase begins:

    • Nominees will be contacted to confirm their eligibility and submitted categories.
    • Supporting materials such as photographs will be collected to support the judging process.
    • The respected #GSPORT20 Panel of Judges will then evaluate all eligible submissions.
    • An audited shortlist of three finalists per category will be finalised ahead of public voting.
