According to IOL, Heavy rainfall across Bali triggered flooding in several popular tourist districts, including areas near Denpasar and Badung. Streets filled quickly as sustained downpours overwhelmed drainage systems and low-lying areas.
Local disaster management officials confirmed that dozens of foreign tourists were evacuated from hotels after water levels rose rapidly. In some cases, guests were transported by inflatable boats to higher ground. Others relocated temporarily as a precaution while authorities monitored conditions.
Approximately 350 people sought shelter during the flooding. Around 30 international visitors required formal evacuation assistance. Officials reported no fatalities linked to the incident.
Travel infrastructure was also affected. Poor weather conditions led to the diversion of two incoming international flights, while several departures were delayed. Operations at the island’s main airport continued with monitoring in place.
The flooding comes during the annual rainy season in Indonesia, when heavy rainfall and flash floods are more common. Authorities have urged residents and visitors to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories and confirm travel arrangements with airlines and accommodation providers.
