And it’s already had a visit from Sheikh Mohammed
Dubai’s cafe scene is already world-class, with coffee aficionados able to get their fix at concepts all across town. But there’s a new name to know about in Dubai’s bean scene that’s here to set a new standard for caffiene lovers across the country. Cherry House, located in Al Safa 1 just off Sheikh Zayed Road, officially opens its doors today – Monday May 18, and promises a new multi-sensory experience in the world of modern coffee.
Created and masterminded by Emirati entrepreneur Mohamed Matar Al-Kus El-Falasi, who is also the founder of the ever-popular Saddle and Feels cafes, Cherry House combines a coffee roaster, artisan bakery and high-end hospitality experience all under one roof.
First conceived in 2019, Cherry House gets its name from the fruit from which coffee is made, and the warm and inviting space is adorned in a bold cherry hue. Here, coffee lovers will be able to immerse in the art of coffee from its origin, from roasting all the way to the various forms in which it’s now sipped. Every detail from the roasting machine to the first-of-its-kind belting system in the UAE has been deliberately considered to create a world-class homegrown coffee house.
And that work has already garnered the attention of a VIP guest, with HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visiting during the soft opening weekend.
“We had the privilege of welcoming His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to Cherry House, a moment that truly marks the beginning of something special,” the venue posted on Instagram, alongside a video of the Ruler of Dubai’s visit.
Alongside great coffee, Cherry House also features an espresso bar and a bakery, where sweet and savoury delights are all made in-house.
