Patriotic Alliance (PA) Deputy President Kenny Kunene has been officially cleared of any misconduct by his party following an internal investigation. The probe came after Kunene was found at the Sandton residence of businessman Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe during a police raid in July.
Molefe has been accused of orchestrating the 2022 murder of musician Oupa Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody, and two of his bodyguards.

In light of the investigation, Kunene resigned as a councillor and Transport MMC in the City of Johannesburg but insisted he was innocent. He maintained that his presence at Molefe’s home was purely coincidental.
The PA leadership, led by President Gayton McKenzie, said the party had to act to ensure transparency and accountability. “He had no business being there with us,” McKenzie stated.
