    Hiking

    Cape Town is a hiker’s dream. It is known for its steep climbs and world-class bouldering, but also offers the opportunity to enjoy a low-effort trek in paradise.

    A number of hiking spots are worth considering, including the scenic and popular Lion’s Head which offers spectacular views of the Mother City. It is ideal for those who seek hikes that range from easy to moderate, and offers breathtaking sunsets as the perfect reward.

    Birding

    Cape Town and its surrounds offer the ideal opportunity to enjoy birding in spaces of great scenic beauty.

    You can spot over 400 bird species, including the Cape Sugarbird, Cape Siskin and Protea Seedeater. A number of spots are worth considering for an excellent birding experience. These include the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens and False Bay Nature Reserve.

    Those who visit Cape Town in search of beach bliss are very seldom left disappointed. Areas which are perfect for scenic coastal walks include Kalk Bay, Muizenberg and Boulders Beach.

    Spots to consider include Wynberg Park, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, as well as the Newlands Forest Picnic Area.
