The name Pitso Mosimane is well-known in South African football circles after establishing himself as one of the greatest coaches in the game, but increasing attention is also being paid to his teenage son Reatlegile.

The youngster, who is working his way through the Kaizer Chiefs youth system, has started the new U14 season in typically impressive goal-scoring form.

Reatlegile has emerged as one of the real standouts in his age group, while last season he finished the campaign with an extraordinary 38 goals in 27 matches for Amakhosi.

This past weekend, after again adding his name to the scoresheet, Reatlegile earned high praise from a social media follower, who commented: “He’s scoring goals for fun! What a quality striker for Kaizer Chiefs! The future is too bright here!”

Pitso Mosimane picked up on the comment, responding: “Congratulations to Coach Bhamjee, serial winner at Youth Football. He has instilled a winning culture amongst the boys. Winning and hard work is in their DNA.

“You need to see the team regaining possession lost! That’s where I judge or see a Great TEAM.”

Reatlegile Mosimane is making a big impression

Towards the end of last year, Pitso also shared special praise for his son: “Congratulations to my son Reatlegile and the Kaizer Chiefs U13 team for winning the GDL U13 League,” he stated in November.

“Rea is also the top goal scorer in his age group. During my time in South Africa, I got to watch a couple of games and through the ups and downs, this team worked hard to achieve this award. Congratulations once again to Coach Bhamjee, his technical team and the all players.”

Coach Pitso is currently without a job after leaving Iran outfit Esteghlal over a breach of contract and unpaid wages. It now remains to be seen where his next career move could take him.
