Bangladesh’s largest private airline, US-Bangla Airlines, has unveiled plans to induct 21 Boeing aircraft under leasing arrangements worth about $1.5 billion, as it seeks to expand its international network and capture a larger share of a market currently dominated by foreign airlines.

Yesterday, Boeing published its half-year financial update showing a record backlog growing to $715 billion, or around $33 billion more than the $682 billion backlog this time last year.
