The sweetest escape requires no passport–just the perfect afternoon. And last Sunday, Tanqueray delivered exactly that. Under Kampala’s warm skies, the third edition of the Limoncello Brunch at Mediterraneo transformed Kololo into a slice of coastal Italy, where cocktail artistry and gourmet indulgence came alive.

Guests were greeted by a magnificent entrance archway that instantly caught the eye and set the tone for the magic waiting inside. Stepping beneath it felt like crossing into a brighter, more joyful world. On either side, cocktail carts offered cool, refreshing welcomes as camera flashes immortalized moments of delight.

“Our vision was to create that sun-kissed moment of celebration and desire for something special–and this edition has wholesomely encapsulated that essence,” said Nancy Nansikombi, Brand Manager for Tanqueray.

Inside, the Mediterraneo gardens unfolded into a living canvas of coastal elegance. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to enchant the senses and blend the refined Italian theme with the signature sophistication of Tanqueray.

The culinary journey was a feast of comfort and craft: creamy chicken and beef stroganoffs, rich lasagnas, tender short ribs that fell off the bone, and perfectly grilled delights. All this was paired with an inspired cocktail menu–liquid sunshine flowing generously throughout the afternoon.

Waiters and waitresses buzzed about with cocktail trees offering duos, trios, and quartets of Tanqueray brilliance. Guests savoured the bright, zesty, botanical creations while fashionistas floated across the space in coastal chic–yellows, greens, and whites swirling gracefully on the dance floor.

As afternoon melted into golden hour, the celebration mellowed into an elegant glow. Guests lingered over their final bites, posed beside the festive installations, and raised glasses in appreciation of the day’s charm.

When the sun dipped, the energy simply migrated upstairs to the upper deck, where an afterparty kept the rhythm alive well into the evening.

In the heart of Kampala, Tanqueray bottled the spirit of luxury and served it the Ugandan way–stylishly, joyfully, and with a touch of Italian zest.

Limoncello 3.0 was a radiant reminder that luxury thrives in shared joy, elegance can indeed be bubbly, and the most memorable moments happen when we toast and taste the sun.
