The nine-member group has been exploring several of Uganda’s attractions, including the iconic Source of the Nile in Jinja, one of Africa’s most renowned landmarks.

In a bid to boost Uganda’s tourism sector, Ambassador Muhammad Baswari Kezaala, Uganda’s Deputy Head of Mission in Qatar, has led a delegation of Qatari tourists on a visit to the Pearl of Africa.

The nine-member group has been exploring several of Uganda’s attractions, including the iconic Source of the Nile in Jinja, one of Africa’s most renowned landmarks.

Ambassador Kezaala, a driving force behind the initiative, highlighted the significance of showcasing Uganda’s rich heritage and natural beauty to a global audience.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to promote Uganda to the world, especially with the delegation sharing their experiences through live social media streams,” he said.

Kefaya Abudayeh, owner and founder of Kefayeh Travel and Tourism and head of the Qatari delegation, praised Uganda for its stunning scenery, coupled with its diverse flora and fauna.

“It’s my first time visiting Uganda, and I am really impressed. We’ve spent a week here, and each day brings a new and wonderful experience. This is truly the Pearl of Africa,” she said, vowing to bring more tourists to Uganda in the future.

The delegation’s visit is part of a broader strategy to increase Uganda’s visibility as a premier tourist destination in East Africa.

The Source of the Nile, a site steeped in historical significance as the starting point of the world’s longest river, is just one of many awe-inspiring locations in Uganda that Ambassador Kezaala hopes will attract international visitors.

The rise of digital media has brought new opportunities to promote tourism, with the delegation sharing their experiences through live social media broadcasts.

This modern approach aims to engage a wider global audience and encourage future visits to Uganda.

The initiative highlights the growing importance of tourism to Uganda’s economy and the government’s commitment to strengthening international connections.

As the delegation continues to explore Uganda’s vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes, the Ministry of Tourism remains optimistic that such international partnerships will generate increased interest among global travelers.

Ambassador Kezaala expressed confidence that this visit, combined with the media coverage it garners, will serve as a major catalyst in positioning Uganda as an untapped gem for global tourism enthusiasts.

In addition to their sightseeing activities, the delegation also visited the Aisha Memorial Islamic School in Jinja, where they donated supplies to support underprivileged children.
