    Scoring the second goal in Senegal’s resounding 5-0 victory over Iraq tonight in the third and final match of Group I, Ismaïla Sarr expressed his satisfaction after the game

    The Crystal Palace winger emphasized the importance of this win, crucial for keeping Senegal’s qualification hopes alive

    “It was a match we had to win. We won, we scored. We wanted to score more goals, because you never know. But congratulations to the team. We did an excellent job today,” said the Senegalese player

    Scoring his third goal in this 2026 World Cup, Ismaïla Sarr also expressed his personal joy: “I’m very happy to have scored for my team. I’m also happy for the others. We’re here for the national team

    “We do this for the national team and for our families. So, congratulations to the whole team,” he added

    With this goal, Sarr now has four World Cup goals and becomes Senegal’s all-time leading scorer in the competition
