Tirupati: In a major boost to Nellore’s emerging technology ecosystem, the city has got its first dedicated technology and product development facility with the inauguration of the Nexus Innovation Hub.The 200-seater facility is already operational and currently houses 120 technology professionals working on artificial intelligence-powered products for global markets. The hub was inaugurated by Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy in the presence of Kovur MLA and TDP Politburo member Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board chairman Shaik Abdul Aziz, and Nellore Mayor D Sujatha on Friday.Addressing tech professionals and students, Prabhakar Reddy stressed the importance of technology firms tapping regional talent pools. He said students from Tier-II cities should be able to build successful careers without having to migrate to metropolitan centres.Terralogic Solutions Inc founder and CEO Renil Komitla said the facility aims to attract more technology firms and create around 1,000 high-tech jobs in the region over the next two years. The innovation hub currently hosts firms across sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, education technology and healthcare. Among them are Blazeup.ai, focused on AI-driven enterprise operations; FlyView.ai, a cybersecurity and AI-governance platform; Smartail.ai, which automates evaluation of handwritten student assessments; and Vietnam-based DXP Technologies, which specialises in early cancer detection solutions.
