For Lefa Makgato, CSR Manager at Samsung Electronics Africa, empowering the next generation of digital innovators is more than a mission — it’s the driving force behind her work leading Samsung’s CSR initiatives across Africa.

Growing up in a small township in <a href="https://absafricatv.com/tourism-month-kicks-off-in-south-africa/" title="Tourism Month kicks off in South Africa“>South Africa, Lefa Makgato didn’t know what to dream about because technology felt so far out of reach. But in 2012, a single encounter with Samsung’s Solar Powered Internet School changed everything.

Since joining Samsung, Lefa has dedicated herself to giving back the same opportunity she once received to other students. Today, she leads Samsung’s CSR initiatives across Africa, including Solve for Tomorrow, which empowers young students in Africa to become the next generation of digital innovators. She’s not just teaching students to use technology — she’s equipping them to shape Africa’s future.
