Azam FC have officially unveiled Congolese duo Henoc Molia and Lupini Dieumerci, with both players expressing their excitement at joining one of Africa’s respected clubs and pledging to help the Ice Cream Makers achieve success during the <a href="https://absafricatv.com/top-news-of-the-day-july-19-2026/” title=”top news of the day july 19 2026″>2026/27 season.

The two signings arrive on the recommendation of head coach Florent Ibenge, who continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Twenty-two-year-old winger Henoc Molia joins from FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo, signing a two-year contract to bolster Azam’s attacking options following the departure of Bola Kitambala after the expiry of his loan spell.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old central defender Lupini Dieumerci has completed his move from AS Maniema Union, bringing height, strength and composure to Azam’s backline as the club prepares for domestic and continental competitions.

Molia: Azam FC is a big club in Africa

Speaking after completing his move, Molia described joining Azam FC as a dream opportunity, saying he already knew about the club’s reputation long before receiving the offer.

The winger said he was delighted to be among the club’s new signings and is looking forward to contributing to the team’s ambitions.

“First of all, I am very happy to be one of Azam FC’s new signings. It is a pleasure for me to play here,” Molia said.

“Before the club approached me, I already knew Azam FC. It is a big club and one that is respected across Africa. That made my decision much easier because I knew I was joining a club with great ambitions.”

Known for his pace, dribbling ability and creativity in the final third, Molia is expected to add another attacking dimension to Florent Ibenge’s squad.

    Dieumerci targets continental success

Defender Lupini Dieumerci also spoke confidently about his ambitions after arriving at Chamazi, promising supporters that he would give everything to help the club compete for major honours.

The towering centre-back said he believes Azam FC has the quality to achieve success not only in Tanzania but also on the continental stage.

“I promise the supporters that we will fight together as one team,” Dieumerci said. “Our objective is to compete strongly and reach the latter stages of the CAF Confederation Cup. We have a good squad, and I believe we can achieve great things together.”

The defender also revealed that his decision to join the club was made easier after discussions with head coach Florent Ibenge, whom he described as someone who made him feel welcome from the beginning.

“When I spoke with the coach, everything became easier. He explained the club’s project to me, and I felt this was the right place for my development. Here, we are one family, and together we can achieve our goals.”

    Azam continues squad rebuild

The arrival of Molia and Dieumerci continues Azam FC’s impressive recruitment drive ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The club has already retained head coach Florent Ibenge despite interest from abroad, re-signed Ivorian winger Kipre Junior, and strengthened the defence with the acquisition of Belgian centre-back Henri Stanic.

With the latest additions, Azam FC have further underlined their determination to build a squad capable of challenging for the NBC Premier League title and making a strong impact in continental football during the upcoming season.
