Early this month, Afrobeats and street-hop star, Zlatan Ibile held a free “Homecoming” concert at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Sports Centre.
The polytechnic was where it all started for him several years ago and as a way of gratitude, he returned to give them a one of kind performance alongside a few industry mates. Sharing on his Instagram page he recounted that, “MAPOLY played a major role on this journey I’m still on. Can’t forget. Won’t forget. Forever In my heart.”
He also revealed plans to do some projects in the school reflecting his emotional connection to the institution where his music career began. Following up the already ignited momentum he is set to bring his explosive energy to the UK this August. Performing live with a full band across Birmingham, London and Manchester fans should expect a high-octane show and an unmatched stage presence.
Although no major name has been announced to be a part of the UK Experience but as usual, we might be having surprise guests’ appearances and with the inclusion of a full live band it looks like it would be more entertaining than usual. As his core is both a mix of Afrobeats and street hop we can expect the melodious blends of instrumentals of such base.
From the fusion of talking drums, pulsating percussion, vibrant log drums, infectious basslines and more elements fans can expect rhythms and captivating melodies that would transport them into an unforgettable live experience. When these instruments come alive on stage, they create an electrifying atmosphere that transcends entertainment, connecting artists and audiences through rhythm, culture and emotion.
Backed by a dynamic live band that would be carefully selected with backup vocals that would complement Zlatan’s everyone can look forward to an expertly crafted sound production set to amplify the energy of the crowd, transforming a concert into a vibrant celebration where music, dance and storytelling unite to deliver an immersive and memorable experience.
