Enterprise AI, indigenous innovation and trusted digital transformation identified as the next phase of India’s technology growth

Artificial Intelligence is expected to redefine India’s information technology landscape by expanding the role of technology service providers rather than reducing their relevance, according to industry leadership speaking on the future of enterprise AI and digital transformation.

Addressing stakeholders, the company’s chairman said concerns that AI would replace India’s IT services industry overlook the complexity of deploying the technology at scale. While AI has rapidly evolved from a productivity tool into a core business capability, organisations continue to face significant challenges in integrating intelligent systems with legacy infrastructure, fragmented data, regulatory compliance and cybersecurity requirements.

He noted that successful AI adoption depends not only on sophisticated algorithms but also on trusted implementation, governance and industry-specific expertise. Technology companies, therefore, are expected to play an increasingly important role in helping enterprises convert AI into practical business solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Enterprise Knowledge Will Become the Biggest Competitive Advantage

The chairman observed that future businesses are unlikely to depend on a single artificial intelligence model. Instead, organisations will increasingly utilise multiple AI platforms while protecting and leveraging their own proprietary knowledge.

He explained that the real operational processes, domain expertise and decision-making capabilities. Technology partners must therefore develop intelligent platforms that preserve this institutional knowledge while enabling businesses to benefit from rapidly advancing AI technologies

Strong Business Performance Amid Industry Transformation

Despite global economic uncertainty, the company reported sustained operational improvements, including consistent margin expansion and robust deal wins over successive quarters.

It also highlighted international recognition for its capabilities in generative AI consulting and implementation, alongside strong customer satisfaction indicators that reflect growing confidence in its AI-led transformation strategy.

According to the company, trust has become one of the most valuable assets in the age of Artificial Intelligence, as enterprises increasingly seek partners capable of managing technology, governance and business transformation simultaneously.

Blending Human Expertise with Artificial Intelligence

The company also unveiled an organisational initiative aimed at integrating human expertise with AI-driven systems.

The programme seeks to combine experienced professionals with intelligent AI agents to create collaborative teams capable of delivering customised solutions while maintaining responsible AI practices, governance and engineering excellence.

Rather than replacing human decision-making, the initiative envisions AI serving as an intelligent partner that enhances productivity, improves efficiency and supports better business outcomes.

India Must Build Its Own AI Ecosystem

The chairman stressed that Artificial Intelligence has become a strategic national capability extending far beyond commercial applications.

He argued that India should aspire not only to adopt global AI technologies but also to develop indigenous AI capabilities that strengthen technological self-reliance.

Drawing inspiration from India’s successful development of indigenous supercomputing technology despite international technology restrictions decades ago, he said the same spirit of innovation should guide the country’s approach to Sovereign AI.

He emphasised that future AI leadership will depend on trusted collaboration, indigenous research, secure infrastructure and the ability to design, govern and deploy advanced AI systems within India.

Preparing for the Next Technology Era

As the company approaches a major milestone in its corporate journey, its leadership described Artificial Intelligence as one of the most transformative opportunities ever witnessed by the global technology industry.

The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to helping businesses navigate AI-driven transformation while supporting India’s ambition to emerge as a global leader in trusted digital technologies and enterprise innovation.

    IBG NEWS Analysis

The message reflects a broader shift taking place across the global technology industry. Artificial Intelligence is no longer viewed simply as automation software but as an enterprise operating platform requiring extensive integration, governance and cybersecurity expertise.

For India, the emphasis on Sovereign AI signals an important strategic direction. As governments and businesses seek greater control over critical digital infrastructure, Indian technology companies are positioning themselves not merely as software service providers but as architects of AI-enabled enterprises. This transition could strengthen India’s global leadership in digital transformation while creating new opportunities in advanced computing, cybersecurity, cloud engineering and enterprise AI solutions.
