The Constitutional Court of Armenia upheld the results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7 and the Central Election Commission’s decision that certified them
According to the Constitutional Court, the head of the Constitutional Court Arman Dilanyan stated that the consolidated proceedings on the applications of seven political forces were considered on June 26. Among the applicants were the opposition bloc “Strong Armenia” led by Samvel Karapetyan, the “Armenia” bloc of former President Robert Kocharyan, and the party “Prosperous Armenia” led by Gagik Tsarukyan
It is noted that Tsarukyan challenged the Central Election Commission’s decision not to hold a rerun vote at three polling stations where the results were annulled; she was short of fewer than 200 votes to overcome the 4% barrier and enter parliament
