Africa50 and India’s NTPC Limited have signed a cooperation agreement to identify and develop power-generation projects and cross-border electricity trading opportunities across Africa. JOHANNESBURG, Oct 19 (Reuters) – South Africa’s finance minister is expected to present an improved fiscal outlook in his mid-term budget on Wednesday, with a revenue windfall bolstering a push to regain an investment-grade credit rating.
Standard Bank Group (ISIN ZAE000109815) agreed to invest up to USD 200 million in OPay on October 9, 2026, linking the African lender to the fintech’s proposed New York listing, as Business Insider Africa reported. Standard Bank Group said the agreement also covers digital banking, payments, lending and remittances across Africa.
