The firm has added a lawyer with over 20 years’ experience to its client offering.
Beech Incorporated has hired employment and labour law specialist Gloria Phajane as a director. The firm announced her arrival from the Bridge Group of Advocates in its Johannesburg office on 1 September.
Phajane has over 20 years’ experience dealing with labour litigation, workplace investigations, disciplinary and incapacity enquiries, employment contracts, employment disputes, collective bargaining, strategic employment advisory services and organisational restructuring.
Her clientele includes private and public sector entities, which she advises on significant employment disputes, workplace risk management and governance issues.
Phajane started her legal career at Majavu Inc in 2001 and jumped to Maserumule Attorneys in 2003. She left the firm for Routledge Modise Attorneys in 2005, where she was elevated to partner in 2006.
Three months after her promotion, she returned to Maserumule Attorneys as a partner, where she worked for nine-and-a-half years before she departed to co-found Mamabolo Phajane Incorporated Attorneys in 2015.
Phajane departed the firm in 2017 to conduct her pupillage with the Johannesburg Society of Advocates for 11 months, after which she joined the Bridge Group of Advocates in December 2017. She was also previously appointed as an acting judge of the Labour Court.
Beech Incorporated CEO Warren Beech said in a LinkedIn post that Phajane was “a highly respected legal practitioner whose depth of experience, strategic insight and exceptional advocacy skills will further strengthen our service offerings.”

In other developments, Beech Incorporated struck a collaboration agreement with international professional services network Anderson Global in August this year.
