    BEML secures USD 6.65 million order for supply of hydraulic excavators to Africa

    Bengaluru: BEML Limited, a leading Indian manufacturer of heavy equipment and a Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has secured an order valued at USD 6.65 million from Mauritius for the supply of BEML BE220G Hydraulic Excavators for deployment across key <a href="https://absafricatv.com/top-10-african-countries-with-the-most-intelligent-people-in-2026/” title=”Top 10 African Countries With The Most Intelligent People In 2026″>African markets.

    The equipment will be deployed across Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Côte d’Ivoire, and neighbouring markets, strengthening BEML’s presence in Africa’s growing construction and mining equipment sector.

    The BE220G Hydraulic Excavator is powered by a 148 HP diesel engine and features a 1.14 cu. m bucket, a 5.85-metre boom, and a 2.5-metre arm. The machines will be equipped with air conditioning, front windshield guards, and corrosion-resistant paint, with yellow-painted booms and arms in line with local market preferences.

    The order will be executed in phases.As part of its customer-centric approach, BEML will provide comprehensive warranty coverage and technical assistance for the deployed equipment.

    The order marks another significant milestone in BEML’s strategy to expand its international business and establish itself as a reliable Indian OEM for construction and mining equipment in global markets.
