Every African grower knows the sinking feeling: a flock descending on ripening fruit at dawn, or a troop of baboons sweeping through the orchard rows in minutes. Birds and primates cost farms heavily each season in lost yield, downgraded export fruit, and damaged irrigation and netting. Fences, patrols and noisemakers help, but animals learn fast, and labour costs keep rising. EchoVista Radar is an international technology company specializing in AI-powered surveillance, intelligent detection and automated deterrence solutions. With a growing global partner network, EchoVistabrings advanced sensing and AI technologies to agricultural and infrastructure protection across international markets.

    Designed for African Conditions

Farms across Africa face unique challenges: vast land areas, limited access to grid power, rising labour costs, and persistent threats from birds and wildlife that can cause significant crop damage.

EchoVista’s AI-powered bird and wildlife deterrence systems are designed specifically for demanding agricultural environments. Combining intelligent detection, AI-based recognition, and automated deterrence, our solutions identify potential threats and respond autonomously to help protect crops while reducing reliance on manual intervention.

With optional solar-hybrid power and remote monitoring capabilities, the systems offer a flexible, energy-efficient, and scalable solution for farms operating across large and often remote agricultural areas.

    Not Just Another Bird Scarer

Traditional bird deterrents often rely on fixed schedules and repetitive sounds. Birds and other wildlife quickly become accustomed to these predictable patterns, reducing their effectiveness.

EchoVista takes a smarter approach. Equipped with a 2-megapixel AI camera featuring 35x optical zoom, the system continuously monitors the protected area and uses deep-learning algorithms to identify potential threats. Once detected, the system automatically directs the appropriate deterrence methods towards the target, activating only when needed.

With intelligent recognition and randomized deterrence patterns, EchoVista helps reduce animal habituation while minimizing unnecessary operation, energy consumption and manual intervention. When the threat leaves, the system returns to standby mode, providing smarter and more efficient crop protection.

    Why Farmers Choose AI Deterrence

For farms producing high-value crops, even a modest reduction in bird and wildlife damage can translate into significant savings. By combining automated deterrence with reduced labour requirements and consistent crop protection, EchoVista’s AI solutions help farmers minimise losses, improve operational efficiency and achieve better long-term returns on investment.

One Platform for Birds and Wildlife

Traditional bird-control products often rely on a single deterrence method. EchoVista takes a more intelligent, multi-functional approach.

The PV900BMF AI Multi-Functional Bird Repellent integrates green laser, high-output acoustic and ultrasonic deterrence in one weather-resistant turret. With 360° horizontal rotation, ±90° vertical movement and a laser range of up to 800 metres under suitable nighttime conditions, it provides flexible, wide-area protection with remote operation.

For more challenging wildlife threats, the upgraded PV950BMF adds a high-intensity strobe and AI recognition capabilities designed to identify wildlife such as baboons and vervet monkeys. Intelligent deterrence patterns and randomized sequences help reduce habituation, while event recording and analysis provide valuable insights into animal activity and intrusion patterns.

Designed for demanding outdoor environments, the systems support optional wind-solar hybrid power for off-grid operation. The PV900BMF features IP56 protection, operates from −20°C to 60°C and consumes less than 150W, making it suitable for demanding outdoor deployments, including remote sites with limited access to grid power.

    • Laser: 520nm or 532nm, 1.5W or 1W; ≥800m at night, ≥100m by day
    • Acoustic: 65W, 138dB at 1m; ultrasonic: 2 × 5W, up to 120dB at 1m
    • Camera: 2MP, 35x optical zoom, low-light capable
    • Turret: 360° rotation, 255 presets, auto-cruise, remote control
    • Build: IP56, −20°C to 60°C, under 150W, DC24V; pole, wall or corner mount

    Versatile Applications Across Multiple Industries

Beyond agriculture, EchoVista’s intelligent deterrence solutions can address bird and wildlife challenges across various environments, including:

    • Commercial orchards, vineyards and crop farms
    • Poultry farms and livestock facilities
    • Airports and aviation facilities
    • Solar farms and energy infrastructure
    • Warehouses and industrial facilities

Each deployment can be tailored to site conditions, target species and specific protection requirements.

An Economy Option for Every Budget

Not every farm requires a fully AI-enabled system. For growers seeking reliable protection at an accessible price, EchoVistaalso offers conventional laser bird deterrents. From individual orchards to large agricultural estates, airports and solar farms, we recommend solutions based on specific bird and wildlife challenges and budget requirements. Customers can also expand their systems in phases, adding AI recognition and wildlife deterrence capabilities as their needs evolve.

Turnkey Solutions, From Assessment to Handover

We do more than supply equipment. Our turnkey services cover site assessment, deployment design, hardware supply, installation and commissioning, user training and ongoing technical support. Our systems are designed for autonomous operation, day and night, helping reduce the need for continuous manual intervention.

    Exclusive Early-Adopter Installation Offer

To celebrate the launch of EchoVista’s AI-powered bird and wildlife deterrence solutions in Africa, we are offering complimentary on-site installation for a limited number of projects confirmed by 28 February 2027. The offer is subject to project scope, site conditions and scheduling.

    Terms and conditions apply.

    Partners and Agents Wanted

EchoVistais seeking distributors, agents and installation partners across Africa, particularly those with connections in agriculture, act training, technical support and marketing re to local markets
