If you want to fly with British Airways to Dubai, you can’t until October

Travellers planning trips with British Airways to the Middle East may need to rethink their plans, as the airline has pushed back its return to several key destinations across the region, including Dubai.

The UK carrier has delayed its phased resumption of services to Dubai, along with routes to Tel Aviv, Bahrain and Amman. Flights to all four destinations were originally scheduled to restart from July 1, but will now remain suspended until October 25.

The revised schedule comes as British Airways continues to adjust its operations across the Middle East, with further changes announced for other regional routes.

Services between London and Doha will be reduced from twice-daily flights to a single daily service from August 1. Meanwhile, flights to Riyadh will also be scaled back, dropping from two daily departures to one from August 8.

In a further network update, British Airways has confirmed that its route to Jeddah has been permanently suspended.

Passengers affected by the schedule changes are advised to check their booking status directly with British Airways and review available rebooking or refund options.

    Your refund options

If you’re booked to travel to or from any of the affected destinations up to and including 31 October 2026, you can request a full refund, even if your flight is still scheduled to operate. This applies to tickets for travel between February 28 and October 31, 2026

    Changing your plans instead

For travel from June 2, if you’d prefer to travel at a later date, you can also choose to change your booking without a change fee. You can move your journey to a later date on the same route, or rebook onto a different British Airways route

The latest update follows a series of operational adjustments made by airlines serving the region in recent months, with carriers continuing to monitor conditions and adapt schedules accordingly.

For travellers flying to or from the Middle East this summer, it’s worth checking flight schedules before booking and keeping an eye on any updates issued by airlines ahead of departure.
