Canada’s government has implemented provisional border restrictions aimed at preventing the transmission of Ebola. Effective July 20 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, non-citizens who have visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the preceding 21 days will be refused entry.

In a decisive effort to curb Ebola’s spread, Canada has unveiled temporary border restrictions. Beginning Monday, July 20, foreign nationals who have traveled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the last 21 days will be denied entry into the country, officials reported on Sunday.

The Public Health Agency of Canada confirmed the new rule will commence at 11:59 p.m. EDT, emphasizing the critical need for these safeguards given current worldwide health worries.

This action underscores Canada’s forward-thinking strategy for managing the challenges of international movement and public health security during a crucial period.
