Citizens Financial Group has appointed Rajesh Mani as Managing Director of its Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to expanding its technology capabilities and accelerating innovation through its global operations.
Mani joins the US-based financial institution with more than two decades of experience in financial services and technology, having led large-scale global technology organisations across the payments and fintech sectors.
Most recently, he served as Head of Asia Pacific Tech Hubs at Mastercard, where he oversaw globally distributed teams and drove innovation across complex technology ecosystems.
In his new role, Mani will lead the continued growth of CFG India, with a focus on scaling talent and strengthening organisational capabilities. He will also build a high-performing operation that works closely with Citizens’ teams across the United States and its global technology partners.

Announcing the appointment, Michael Ruttledge, Chief Information Officer and Head of Enterprise Technology & Security at Citizens, said Mani’s leadership would play a pivotal role in the company’s long-term technology strategy.
