Steve Borthwick’s side moved up to fourth place, leapfrogging France, following their 25-7 victory, while Australia remain seventh.

The All Blacks stay second after coming back from 10-0 down to beat Ireland 26-13 in Chicago, but have closed the gap on the No 1-ranked Springboks.

The world champions received no ranking points from their 61-7 thrashing of Japan due to the large gap in ranking points between the teams.
