The Final Draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal <a href="https://absafricatv.com/new-south-africa-skipper-set-to-lead-side-on-namibia-tour/” title=”New South Africa skipper set to lead side on Namibia tour”>Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 was conducted on Monday in Salé, Morocco, producing two competitive groups with thrilling contests set to showcase the quality of teams from the continent.
The eight qualified nations were drawn into two groups of four, with hosts Morocco placed in Group A alongside Libya, Zambia and Algeria, while Egypt headline Group B with Angola, Mozambique and Tanzania.
The tournament will be played in Morocco from 12 to 21 October 2026 and will bring together some of Africa’s most successful and ambitious Futsal nations.
The ceremony was conducted with African football figures Marouane Chamakh of Morocco and Fernando Chamboco of Mozambique serving as Draw Assistants.
Morocco enter the tournament as one of the dominant forces in African Futsal, having won the continental title three times in 2016, 2020 and 2024.
Libya also bring strong pedigree to the group after lifting the trophy in 2008, while Zambia and Algeria will be seeking to upset the established order and make a deep run in the competition.
Three-time champions Egypt will begin their campaign in Group B against Tanzania as they look to add to the titles they won in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
Angola and Mozambique complete the pool and will meet in their opening fixture.
With Egypt’s historic pedigree, Angola’s consistency and Mozambique and Tanzania’s growing ambitions, Group B is expected to provide a stern test for all four nations.
