    • India and Morocco held the first session of their Joint Defense Committee in New Delhi to strengthen military cooperation.
    • Senior defense officials from both countries participated, formalizing regular military dialogue.
    • Talks covered military training, peacekeeping, cyber defense, and medical cooperation.
    • Both sides agreed to pursue joint ventures, co-production, and collaboration in defense technology and equipment maintenance.

Senior defense officials from both nations gathered on September 8 for the inaugural session of their newly established Joint Defense Committee.

Co-chaired by Brigadier General Abdellah Athmani of Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces and Amitabh Prasad from India’s Ministry of Defense, the gathering formally institutionalizes regular military dialogue between the two partners.

The discussions focused on a wide spectrum of security priorities, ranging from joint military training and peacekeeping operations to cyber defense and medical cooperation.

Beyond standard military exchanges, both governments agreed to seek opportunities in joint ventures, co-production, defense technology, and equipment maintenance.
