Calif. — Hollywood has been showing out for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with several A-list celebrities attending matches at Los Angeles Stadium throughout the tournament.

Canada’s historic Round of 32 showdown with South Africa on Sunday afternoon was no different, as the inaugural match drew a celebrity crowd again.

Actress Jessica Alba was among the most recognizable faces in attendance, joined by her boyfriend, fellow actor Danny Ramirez. Ted Lasso star Cristo Fernández brought another familiar soccer connection to the stands. Canadian actor Simu Liu, who proudly grew up in Ontario, soaked in every moment as his home nation chased another piece of World Cup history

German legend Bastian Schweinsteiger made the trip to Los Angeles, while FIFA President Gianni Infantino was joined by CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani, Confederation of African Football President Patrice Motsepe and South African Football Association President Danny Jordaan, underscoring the global significance of the tournament’s first-ever Round of 32

Canada’s celebrity support has become one of the tournament’s best side stories. Deadpool star and Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has been one of the Canucks’ loudest supporters throughout the World Cup
