The founding of Jowat Korea marks another step in Jowat’s global growth trajectory

Jowat, a leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives based in Detmold, Germany, has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary in South Korea. Jowat Korea, headquartered in Seoul, represents a significant milestone in the company’s international expansion strategy. Dr Ralf Schelbach, who brings extensive experience in the adhesives industry, will lead the new subsidiary, overseeing market development and the establishment of local operations.

“With the founding of our subsidiary in South Korea, we are consistently continuing our international growth strategy,” explains Klaus Kullmann, Managing Director at Jowat. “The South Korean market offers substantial potential for our innovative adhesive solutions, particularly in the automotive, electronics, and packaging sectors.” The local presence will enable Jowat to provide enhanced support to customers in the region and develop tailored solutions for their specific needs.

High potential in the South Korean market

South Korea is one of the world’s leading industrialised nations, characterised by an advanced manufacturing industry and significant investments in research and development. Jowat Korea aims to meet the rising demand for high-quality adhesive solutions locally while also benefiting from the innovation-driven nature of the South Korean market. The company plans to leverage this momentum to continue its successful growth trajectory.

With the establishment of Jowat Korea, the company strengthens its presence in the Asian market, which is already a key pillar of its global business strategy. This move underscores Jowat’s commitment to expanding into international growth markets and driving forward innovative technologies.
