Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao served a legal notice on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, demanding that he tender an unconditional public apology within 48 hours for falsely branding Globarena as his ‘benami’ company.
Mr. Rao asserted that he has no ownership, financial, proprietary or any other relationship whatsoever with Globarena Technologies and challenged the Chief Minister to substantiate his allegations with credible evidence. In case the Chief Minister failed to prove his allegations within 48 hours, he must tender an unconditional public apology. Otherwise, the former would face appropriate civil and criminal legal proceedings, he said.
He said it was highly irresponsible for a Chief Minister holding the highest constitutional office in the State to level such serious allegations without any factual basis. Questioning the Chief Minister’s credibility, he asked: “If Globarena is really my ‘benami’ company, why did the Congress <a href="https://absafricatv.com/kindiki-<a href="https://absafricatv.com/government-calls-for-action-to-reduce-air-pollution/” title=”Government calls for action to reduce air pollution”>government-will-spare-no-one-in-crackdown-on-political-goons/” title=”Kindiki: Government Will Spare No One in Crackdown on Political Goons”>government enter into agreements with that company? Your own government signed contracts with the firm, and today you are claiming that it is my ‘benami’ company,” he said.
Mr. Rao also accused Mr. Revanth Reddy of deliberately trying to divert public attention from the real issue concerning alleged irregularities in national examinations. “He neither uttered the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan”, Mr. Rao said.
Mr. Rao said he was prepared to face any probe – either by CID, SIT or CBI or any other investigation agency – and at the same time the government must be prepared to order a probe into the Singareni scam and AMRUT contracts allegedly involving the CM’s relative.
