Tanzanian media personality Mwijaku has broken his silence on what he believes triggered the end of Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz’s relationship, pointing to a tour incident in Mbeya as the final straw.

In a video that has been circulating widely on TikTok, Mwijaku, known for his outspoken commentary on East African celebrity affairs, claimed that Diamond brought a female dancer along on tour without Zuchu’s blessing.

According to him, the move sent a damaging message to the WCB singer, effectively making the dancer feel more valued than his own partner.

    Mwijaku’s verdict on Diamond’s behaviour

The commentator did not hold back in his assessment. He described Diamond’s conduct as a pattern of self-destruction, saying that “foolish men destroy their marriages with outside things, with stupidity and side chicks.”

His tone throughout the video shifted between sharp criticism of the man’s choices and genuine empathy for Zuchu, whom he addressed directly at one point with a reassuring message.

“There is no woman who has never gone through the path you are going through, and then God left her,” Mwijaku said, offering what sounded like both comfort and a wider statement about how women often weather these situations.

The phrase “Kumsamehe tulisahau,” which loosely translates to “we won’t forgive him” appears to sum up the sentiment circulating online following the video’s release.

Zuchu and Diamond’s rocky public romance

Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz have long been one of Tanzania’s most talked-about couples. Their relationship has played out almost entirely in the public eye, from rumoured on-and-off reconciliations to music collaborations under the WCB Wasafi label.

Mwijaku himself has commented on their dynamic before, at times defending Zuchu publicly and at other times urging her to prioritise her own wellbeing.

The clip has resonated strongly with audiences across East Africa who follow the couple’s story closely, tapping into familiar themes of loyalty, public humiliation and the cost of fame on personal relationships.
