Deputy President Paul Mashatile has concluded his working visit in China aimed at strengthening trade, investment and industrial cooperation between the two countries

During his visit, Mashatile participated in the China International Supply Chain Expo, where he promoted South Africa as an attractive investment destination and encouraged Chinese companies to expand their investments in the country

Mashatile also held high-level talks with Chinese government leaders and business executives, focusing on infrastructure, automotive manufacturing and renewable energy, among others

The Deputy President says the visit reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between South Africa and China

“Our presence here today reflects South Africa’s unwavering commitment to deepening our comprehensive economic partnership with China, aimed at advancing trade investments and long-term industrial cooperation. Ladies and gentlemen, Excellencies, we meet at a defining moment in the global economy. Geopolitical shift, technological advancement, climate imperatives, and changing patterns of production are reshaping the architecture of global commerce.”
