Ugandan artist Mungu Feni, has been nominated in the Africa Content Creators Awards, slated for July 15, in Kigali Rwanda.

Voting for the awards opened on May 15. Born Benard Feni, he has been nominated in the Best Gospel Artist Content Creator of the Year 2026.

The Awards celebrate the vibrant ecosystem of digital creators across the continent, recognizing those who inform, inspire, and entertain millions.

“We believe African voices deserve global recognition. Our mission is to spotlight the exceptional talent shaping digital narratives across the continent. Through community-driven voting and expert curation, we identify creators who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and impact in their respective fields,” organizers said.

The awards serve as a platform to amplify African creativity, foster connections within the creator community, and inspire the next generation of digital storytellers.

Each year, the ACCA stage becomes a canvas for celebrating African heritage and modern digital influence. The ceremony honors our vibrant culture through spectacular performances and prestigious awards: The annual awards gala brings together hundreds of top creators, industry leaders, and fans to celebrate the cultural impact of digital storytelling. The night is filled with spectacular performances and well-deserved recognition.

Recently, the artist and philanthropist was named the artist of the Year at the Prestigious Personlaities Awards 2026 Powered by Feleb Concepts Multimedia.

Among the musical achievements, the artist won the Best New Star Gospel Artist award at the Shining Stars Africa Awards 2025/2026. Having spent just three years in the music industry. Notably, Feni is among the first Ugandan artists to receive and win an international award despite not yet staging a major public concert or performance. This rare achievement underscores the power of digital music distribution and his expanding global audience.

Mungu Feni has released several music projects that have gained international reach and are available on major streaming platforms worldwide.

His music continues to perform impressively on platforms such as Shazam, YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Audiomack, Boomplay, Tubidy, and Song Boost in Uganda, where he consistently ranks among the top gospel artists, with more than 3 million streams.

On top of streaming, Feni’s music is also played on International TV and radio channels like Trace Gospel, Trace Mziki , Trace Naija, Trace FM, Trace Muzika, TBN Africa, Face Music and Pearl Magic Channels, among others.

With a rapidly growing fan base beyond Uganda, the West Nile–born singer from Arua is sometimes mistaken for a West African artist due to the wide international appeal of his music.

Known for his soul-stirring gospel music, Mungu Feni is also a savvy entrepreneur and the founder of Euro Gold. He balances faith, family, and business with admirable dedication.

Beyond music, the artist is also involved in community transformation. Through the Mungu Feni Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in West Nile, he has received regional recognition for community development initiatives.

The foundation was named Best Community Transformation Organisation in East Africa at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, highlighting its growing influence beyond national borders.

It also scooped multiple accolades at the West Nile Quality Brand Awards in 2025, including Quality Excellence Award – Platinum, Best Community Development NGO, and Best Local NGO, in recognition of its work empowering youth and vulnerable communities in the region.
