The ranking assessed the institutions’ ability to engage audiences, disseminate cultural content, and stimulate discussion of the arts. In terms of engagement, the Dnipro Historical Museum received a score of 72.8, while the Kherson Art Museum received a score of 62.7.

More than 700 cultural institutions registered to participate in MuseumWeek 2026. The organizers included 83 of them in the final ranking, with rankings determined by the level of audience engagement with their posts during the festival.

MuseumWeek 2026 took place from June 1 to 7 and had the theme “Intelligences, Museums, Futures.” The program focused on how AI affects the work of museums, their teams, audiences, and social role, as well as the opportunities and risks of new technologies.
