(ORANGE) – More inclusive digital technology, more resilient infrastructure and sustainable growth in the service of Africa and the Middle East

A major digital player in Africa and the Middle East, serving more than 179 million customers and supported by nearly 19,000 employees, Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) publishes its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, Building the Future Together.

Through this report, Orange highlights how its infrastructure, digital, financial and energy services, its Orange Digital Centers and the commitment of its employees contribute to accelerating growth that is more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable, for the benefit of people and territories.

Structured around three pillars: resilient infrastructure, digital technology as a driver of inclusion and responsible governance, the report draws on measurable results, impact indicators and real-life stories to illustrate Orange’s contribution to the region’s major economic, social and environmental transformations.

Resilient infrastructure to sustainably support local territories

In a context marked by accelerating digital and energy transitions, Orange Middle East and Africa continues to invest in infrastructures that are increasingly efficient, secure and sustainable.

The report highlights the investments made to expand network coverage, strengthen infrastructure resilience through artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, develop strategic international infrastructure and accelerate the energy transition through site solarization, the use of renewable energy and the circular economy for digital equipment.

Digital technology creating opportunities for all

Because digital technology is a powerful driver of economic and social development when it is accessible to everyone, Orange continues to develop an ecosystem of services designed to meet people’s essential needs.

The report showcases Max it, Orange Middle East and Africa’s super-app, Orange Money, Orange Bank Africa, Orange Energies and affordable Sanza smartphones, which help make digital, financial and energy services more accessible.

This momentum is further reinforced by the Orange Digital Centers, now present in 16 countries, which have already supported 1.4 million beneficiaries. True accelerators of employability and entrepreneurship, they offer a comprehensive pathway ranging from training and international certifications to incubation, acceleration and access to startup funding.

Orange Middle East and Africa aims to bring the total number of young people trained to 3 million by 2030, confirming its commitment to digital skills development, employability and youth entrepreneurship.

Responsible governance in support of sustainable performance

Beyond its infrastructure and services, Orange operates through a development model grounded in ethics, transparency and dialogue with all its stakeholders.

Supported by nearly 19,000 employees, this ambition is reflected in commitments to diversity, inclusion and skills development, as well as through the Orange Engage for Change program, which mobilizes employees around high-impact social and environmental initiatives across all countries in the region.

The report also highlights compliance, vigilance and certification mechanisms that ensure responsible and sustainable performance over time.

Through testimonials, field initiatives and real-life stories, Building the Future Together shows that responsible transformation is built collectively. More than a CSR report, it illustrates how Orange turns its infrastructure, services, employee engagement and innovation into concrete opportunities for millions of people, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Africa and the Middle East.

Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, said:
“With Building the Future Together, we show that our performance is measured as much by the quality of our networks as by the tangible impact we create for people. By investing in resilient infrastructure, developing inclusive services and empowering talent, we are laying the foundations for sustainable growth serving Africa and the Middle East.”

Asma Ennaifer, Executive Director, CSR, Orange Digital Center and Communications, Orange Middle East and Africa, added:
“Behind every network, every service and every inclusion program lies the same ambition: to put technology at the service of people. By creating opportunities for learning, entrepreneurship, financial and energy inclusion and by mobilizing our employees through Orange Engage for Change, we are helping to build a more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable future. It is this human impact, shared across each of our countries, that gives full meaning to our commitment.”
