34 trophies, including ten La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey titles and four UEFA Champions Leagues yet very few international cups, he’s considered best in the world, it’s Lionel Messi! Moving to Barcelona at age 14 from his home in Argentina he started playing for the youth academy and soon got the eyes of many. Then he started playing among the greats like Ronaldinho and Iniesta scoring bucket loads of goals, in result he now has the leading amount of ballon d’ors surpassing La Liga rival Cristiano Ronaldo by one.

After 637 goals at Barca he has decided to extend his contract another 5 years and keep playing till the end of his career. He definitely among the greats and will keep pushing for a World Cup victory.

Can Barca’s  top-scoring and highest payed footballer in the world become the best? That’s going to be hard but like Gianluigi Buffon once said “He’s an alien who dedicates himself to playing with humans.” so who knows he might just surpass Pele.

We hope that everybody is enjoying Soccer Is Life and we can’t wait for you to check out more of our posts!
