‘Support every government for national development’ – Dr. Nana K. Gyasi urges traditional leaders

Business mogul and respected statesman, Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi, has called on traditional leaders across Ghana to rise above partisan politics and support every government that assumes office for the sake of national development

According to him, political leaders are elected by the people to serve the nation and therefore deserve the cooperation of all stakeholders, particularly traditional authorities, in implementing policies that advance the country’s progress

Speaking in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of the “Royals Conference” held at the Church of Pentecost, Tetelestia Worship Center in Suame, Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi stressed that development should never be sacrificed on the altar of political differences

He noted that whenever a political party is voted into power, citizens have a responsibility to support its developmental agenda, especially when its policies are yielding positive results

“I personally support every political party. Any party that comes to power deserves our support because the country belongs to all of us

We must unite behind governments that are working to improve the lives of Ghanaians,” he stated

Commenting on the country’s current economic outlook, Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi observed that Ghana is witnessing positive changes under the present administration, citing the appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar as one of the encouraging signs

“God is with this country. Things are changing and I will say it plainly that things are going well. That does not mean the government has finished its work; they are still doing more, and we should encourage them,” he remarked

The business leader reiterated that national unity and collective support for governments are essential ingredients for sustainable development

The conference, themed “The Royals: Unleashed To Transform the Palace Through the Gospel and the Power of the Holy Spirit,” brought together traditional rulers and other dignitaries to discuss the role of chiefs in transforming society through godly leadership and community development

Addressing participants during the conference, Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi urged chiefs and traditional authorities to make the development of their communities a top priority

He encouraged them to see community transformation as a sacred responsibility that would not only improve the lives of their people but also earn them lasting respect and honour

According to him, meaningful development can only be achieved through wisdom, commitment, hard work, and unity among traditional leaders and their subjects

He further challenged chiefs to provide visionary leadership capable of inspiring progress and creating opportunities that would uplift their communities

Elder Dr. Nana K. Gyasi concluded by emphasizing that when traditional leaders and governments work together in unity, Ghana will continue to experience peace, stability, and accelerated national development
