Nairobi is set to host one of East Africa’s biggest gatherings for the renewable energy and power sectors at the 11th Solarexpo Kenya 2026 and 13th Power & Energy Kenya 2026 exhibition.

The exhibition gets underway from July 29 to 31, 2026 at the Carnivore Exhibition Grounds.

Held concurrently under one roof, the exhibitions will bring together global manufacturers, suppliers, investors and industry professionals, providing a major platform for business, innovation and collaboration in renewable energy, power generation, transmission and distribution.

Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi is expected to preside over the official opening ceremony as the chief guest.

The event is being held under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum through the State Department for Energy, and the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry through the State Department for Trade, underscoring the government’s support for expanding investment in the country’s energy sector.

Organisers say the exhibitions have grown into one of the region’s most influential platforms for the solar and power industries, attracting participation from government agencies, professional associations and private sector players.

Among the key organisations participating in this year’s event are BILMAH Engineering Services Ltd and the Electricity Sector Association of Kenya (ESAK), whose involvement reflects the exhibition’s growing role in promoting collaboration, technological innovation and sustainable energy development across East Africa.

The 2026 edition will feature INVEREX GLOBAL as the Platinum Sponsor and is expected to host more than 250 exhibitors from over 27 countries, including China, India, South Africa and Kenya.

Leading international and regional companies set to showcase their latest products and technologies include Dongfang Electronics Corporation, APS Pump Private Limited, ACTOM, Switchgear Ltd, Ningbo Deye ESS Technology Co. Ltd, SRNE Solar Co. Ltd, Guangzhou Felicity Solar Technology Co. Ltd and Yachu Solar.

The exhibition will highlight innovations in renewable energy systems, energy storage, power transmission equipment, electrical infrastructure and other technologies aimed at supporting the transition to cleaner and more reliable energy.

Organisers say the three-day event will offer visitors an opportunity to explore emerging market trends, interact directly with manufacturers and suppliers, witness live product demonstrations and establish strategic business partnerships.

The exhibitions are expected to attract policymakers, investors, engineers, contractors, distributors and energy professionals from across Africa and beyond, reinforcing Nairobi’s position as a regional hub for energy investment and technological advancement.
