Senegalese vegetable seed distributor Sodisem and its Dutch partner Bejo Zaden B.V. are set to further intensify their collaboration by bringing their joint activities under a new company name: Bejo Sodisem
The partnership builds on the strong local <a href="https://absafricatv.com/observer-research-foundation/” title=”OBSERVER RESEARCH FOUNDATION”>foundation that Sodisem has established in recent years and the expertise and vegetable varieties provided by Bejo. The management team remains unchanged and fully committed to supporting growers, partners and customers in the West African region

Bejo Sodisem employes 15 people and is based in Thies, with a branch in St. Louis, and a trial station at Mont Rolland nearby Thies. In addition to a commercial team supported by the head office, Bejo Sodisem also has a research team dedicated to breeding varieties specifically for the region and investigating cultivation methods that help growers improve their yields and quality. The results are shared with growers and partners through training sessions, seminars and social media
